Credits, Unlocks & Subscriptions

Four separate things you can pay for, what each one buys, and which balance an action spends. Read this once and the checkout pages stop being surprising.

1. The four things money buys

They do not substitute for one another. Having plenty of one does not help if the action needs another.

Project credits

One is spent each time you create a project. Bought as part of a project package.

AI research credits

Spent per AI answer, by length. Bought as a top-up pack, and granted with the other purchases.

The Design unlock

A one-off payment that opens the design tools on one specific project. Not a credit — a switch on that project.

The Farmer Hub subscription

A recurring subscription that opens the Farmer Hub on one specific project, and tops up farm credits every billing cycle.

What a new account starts with

Signing up grants 200 AI research credits and one project credit, immediately and unconditionally. That is enough to create your first project and research it.

2. Project credits

Creating a project spends exactly one project credit. There are three kinds, and the app picks for you:

The app spends a universal credit if you have one, and falls back to the credit matching the project's type. If neither is available you are told the project cannot be completed until you buy more.

The credit is taken at the last step of the new-project wizard, when the project is finished — not when you start filling it in. Abandoning a half-finished project does not cost a credit.

Which type is your project?

You do not choose the type directly — the scale you pick decides it. Urban garden, terrace garden, homestead garden, market garden and community garden count as garden scale. Everything else counts as a large project.

The two project packages

Garden Project — €30

Adds one garden project credit and 500 AI research credits.

Ecological Project — €80

Adds one big-project credit and 750 AI research credits.

3. AI research credits

These pay for AI answers: site insights, the research agents, design suggestions, and the AI work inside the Farmer Hub. The balance in the top navigation bar is this one.

What an answer costs

The cost is computed from the tokens the model actually processed, so a short question costs less than a long analysis. There is a floor: no AI answer ever costs less than 2 credits.

Site portrait render	4 credits, the Standard (1K) price; saving the map shot itself is free
Garden visualiser renders	The same prices as the Visualizer: 4 credits at Quick or Standard, 10 at High (2K), 16 at Presentation (4K); an edit of a finished image is 3

The difference is the cost of the underlying model, not a markup that varies by page.

Buying more

The 500 AI Research Credits top-up pack is €20. Credits also arrive with every project package, Design unlock and Farmer Hub invoice, so a top-up is usually only needed if you research heavily on a project you already own.

Verify your email before spending credits

You can sign up, log in, create projects and browse without verifying your email address. AI features are the exception: an unverified account is refused there until the address is confirmed. Use the resend link on your profile if the first message did not arrive, and check the spam folder.

4. The Design unlock

Design is unlocked one project at a time, with a single payment that also brings AI credits. The price depends on the project's scale:

You buy it from the project's card on My Projects, not from inside the design tools. Once paid, that project's design flag is set and stays set — it is not a subscription and it does not lapse. Buying it again for the same project is blocked, and the payment is refused before checkout opens.

5. The Farmer Hub subscription

Like the Design unlock, it is attached to one project rather than to your account. Unlike it, it recurs.

The trial is once per user, not once per project. Farm credits are a second wallet, shared across all your farms, and they roll over up to a ceiling of 300 per active subscription.

6. Which balance gets spent

Farm credits go first

When you run an AI feature the app spends your farm credits before your purchased AI research credits. If the two together are not enough, the action is refused and nothing is deducted — you never end up half-charged for an answer you did not get.

7. Seeing where you stand

The top navigation bar shows your AI research credit balance on every page.
Your profile holds the account-level view: balances, and the email verification state that gates AI features.
My Projects shows, per project, whether Design is unlocked and whether a Farmer Hub subscription is running.
Stripe's customer portal, reachable from your account, holds your invoices, your payment method, and the cancel button for a Farmer Hub subscription.
